Here at Booker & Best Ltd we are working as a leading Social Housing contractor are looking to employ Plumbers with sufficient plumbing knowledge to join our team in the Hastings area, to work on Voids/occupied properties on repairs & maintenance.

Working the Social Housing sector, you will have the exciting opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge by tackling a variety of repairs/maintenance in social housing properties. Your duties will include various repairs in properties mainly plumbing.

You will be required to travel within the East Sussex, West Sussex and Kent regions in domestic households, schools, colleges and public buildings for which a company vehicle will be provided.

A full clean driving licence is required also an Enhanced DBS will also be required, which Booker & Best Ltd will undertake.

The role:

Plumbing engineer to work from our Hailsham Branch serving properties on a long term maintenance contract.

• The primary role is to carry out plumbing repairs and maintenance in a domestic setting in mainly Council owned housing stock.
• Initial 1 Year Fixed term Contract – then permanent option
• Reporting to the Reactive Repairs Contracts Manager
• To respond to reactive and emergency faults and conduct reactive maintenance work to ensure compliance
• Working 42.5 hours per week from 07:30 to 16:30, Monday to Friday – pre agreed flexibility on hours can be discussed to suit child care etc.
• Requirement to participate in the out of hours on call rota .
